First Cargo: Al Khuwair Q-Flex

On October 21, 2010, the Golden Pass LNG Terminal received its first LNG cargo to be used for commissioning the facilities.  The cargo was shipped from the Port of Ras Laffan in Qatar aboard a Q-Flex LNG carrier, the Al Khuwair, one of the largest LNG carriers in the world.

Golden Pass celebrated this milestone with local leaders, community partners and the media.  All in attendance observed the incoming ship from a viewing deck set up near the terminal.  Below is some of the media coverage associated with the event.
